GREEN SPACE
- a pocket park for your neighborhood

Green Space is a pocket park for your neighborhood. Green Space is a patch of grass, shade and quality of life in the midst of the city. Green Space is sustainable, reusable and mobile. Green Space is such a good idea that you wonder why it hasn’t been done yet…

The city of Copenhagen is already beautiful – not least where the city meets the water. But Copenhagen doesn’t always give justice to its unique location and beauty – this is especially true of the areas running on both sides of the so-called “Havneløbet”. The location is great, but there are more or less no places where one can kick back and enjoy the setting.

The Green Space concept suggests creating pocket parks for public use along the docks. The pocket parks are small enough to be completely flexible and big enough to provide a green pause for the citizens of Copenhagen. Round patches of grass create a bare-feet environment. Adjustable screens provide shade and cover from sun and wind.

Four renderings of Green Space will be placed along the docks. At one location a live green pocket environment will be created. Our mission is to start a debate about the current un-use of the inner-city harbour-areas in Copenhagen.
